Atom really should save all buffers instead of just project-linked ones. There's too much opportunity for data loss as it currently is and it removes the ability for the text editor to double as a scratchpad or quick notepad.

I find Safari to be the nicest browser to use in general, but Chrome seems to have a leg up on performance in key areas like new tab creation especially when opening a link in a new tab. It's weird lapse for Safari to lag in certain si

I think this is a good counter to my gut reaction. I think that would be an interesting show to watch as well but I don't think that'd appeal to a broader audience at all and the particular host also speaks to that direction being

Ew. This sounds very tasteless. How about doing something creative and that's not navel gazing or better yet use this money on OS X.

Right on. I would have figured that iCloud would have one of those iterating cookies (I have no idea what it's really called) where each request iterates the request-data of each subsequent http call so a copy curl wouldn't work.

What is this curl script that calls out to Find My iPhone... I'm surprised that the web api is trivial enough to script but would love to use it.

I think the argument is convenience. Battery/Durability seem like pretty empty arguments when comparing something that exists in software to something physical since if that was the case most things done on computer would lose. Also, i

It's tough to hold out on major OS upgrades as they come up with a number of new app features and enhancements that are coupled with the OS.

Hi, Could you elaborate on what you believe to be far better than the extreme. AExtreme was super simple to set up and has an app too. Did you position your OnHub differently than your extreme? I have had an Extreme for years but recently m

Curious if there are rasberry pi (2) solutions that provide the saving of recordings and easy parsing. Also remote viewing and notifications of activity. Not sure the real utility of the latter two but I'm just looking at this option a

all the source photos are contained within a "masters" folder inside the library package(folder). point your backup mechanism to that subfolder and you should be all set.

Aperture had way better UI. Lightroom had more powerful editing. I think Photos will have the best of both worlds once Photos.framework comes to Mac.

I am crossing my fingers that your work on iOS will be very handy for a Mac Photos extension come WWDC. Is it on the App Store or open source by chance?

I've witnessed the same whitespace but find it still beneficial in contextually separating different 'moments' as they call it. Alternatively you can just go to 'All Photos' album and view everything ever in one gia

This is a late reply, but by default, Photos stores images inside a "Photos.photolibrary" package, which is just a special folder. Inside this, all your masters are contained in a "Masters" folder which is arranges ever

Ah right, I forgot about the 'actions'. As of right now (10.0.3 beta), Photos.app does not have any available access points to "Actions", etc. Hopefully soon!

I think the big win for Photos.app / iCloud Photo Library is the fact that 3rd party app 'extensions' are able to provide exponential editing capabilities directly to the users main library. I anticipate Photos.app on Mac gai
