Same thing happened with Sins of the Solar Empire, no DRM, tons of piracy, so much so that they had to block out pirated copies from their online servers, the load was totally disproportionate to sold copies.

No. I'm proud to affix my name in opposition to SOPA, if descent is outlawed my opposition to this bill will be the least of my problems, because I'll oppose that law with every once of devotion I can bring to bear.

The NumPyPy codebase is fun! You can to learn a bit about all different parts of PyPy, you can play with jit stuff, Python interp stuff, or just plain numeric stuff. It's programmed in a pretty nice meta-programming way in Python, and it'

The article seems to be really pushing that law review articles are obscure things that no one put another professor of law could understand or care about, but as a CS student who's taken one course in ethics at a very un-humanities univers

Django's ORM does (obj.full_clean()), but he's not using Django's ORM, he's using mongoengine, I have no idea if it does.

I curse more than a sailor, really. It's not that (I almost cursed in this sentence) hard to not curse in a presentation. It's not that hard to not make your slides one step short of a porno. It is difficult to write and deliver a presen

I can't say my parents had lessons this cool, but I did spend some of my time in my teenage years working at my cousins' vending machine warehouse, doing various tasks: counting the take (and filling out the spreadsheet), filing refill slip

I really love the trick for efficiently reading 4 chars and checking them out of a string. I like it so much I've been working towards making it happen automatically on PyPy so if you write something like: if buf[i:i+4] == "POST":

That first claim, that it's as expressive as Ruby, just doesn't hold up to scrutiny. (I've never used Ruby much, but I know my Python, and I'm going to assume they're approximately equally expressive). In no sane Python codebase would you
