Dogpatch is an awesome space. I've worked out of there for awhile now, even did a code competition there last year for the RailsRumble. The Hackers and Founders meetup is fun. I went to the first one that happened at DPL. The keg is a ni

A pretty sweet site our design intern pointed me at was: http://siteinspire.net/ It has some really nice designs that are more trendy now a days than ever before. UX less tried as usual, but looks visually cool and super modern.

I'd also vote for Philz Coffee towards the north end of Berkeley, I've worked out of there whenever I'm not meeting down @ YC in mountain view. The coffee is fuel for me (other than cheesily being motivated by happy tweets from fanvibe use

Also, wonder if we could talk to the owners about "reserving" that back area where there's couches. Depending on the size of the group, might be doable without reservation.

I've been going to Philz a few times a week when I'm not down in Mountain View =) It's a really cool spot, park on lincoln during the week for 2 hours of free parking. Open till 9pm too, and good amount of space in the back.

There's a good balance of writing it right the first time, and spending too much time with the details and not the actual feature you're implementing. With enough experience, you'll know how to start writing something such that it won't req

I just use one gmail account. Any other email account I just forward. Eventually everyone just emails to that one account since I always reply from it. It's not a problem at all. With filters, using the +blah functionality (email+spam@gm

I've found the Twitter feed useful to get the most highly ranked articles, but every few days I'll take a quick 5 minute break from coding to look through some of the new posts.

First job out of college (2005) I was contacted when I posted my resume on Monster.com. Second job was at a startup which I got through a headhunter. Last one I made for myself! It's the best way =)

Great to hear you want that! Our pro-account users (which is free when you invite 5 friends btw), will be given much more than the basic updates we have now. We're fleshing out all those features (play-by-play) and more very soon. Some oth

You're right on track with what we're working on. People love to share and brag, and a lot love to brag that they're at the game. Working with the leagues and teams are tough, but we're going to try to work with them more on cool stuff lik

If you check-in or pick a team, you are given the option to connect to Facebook. It will then give you a preview of the cross post once you're all connected. Let me know if that seems confusing (it definitely might be). Great feedback!

Volunteer! Volunteering is awesome. You and your company can go out and do something together with a purpose. It's good to get away from work for a bit, but even better if you're all helping the community out with your time and effort. I
