One of those rare instances where I think NFTs and having digital copies available for all to download might make infinitely more sense than buying into centralized gaming platforms with their own licenses.

Looking at the Stacks block explorer, there’s very little activity on it.

> I support it for freedom from tyranny. I support it for independence from oligarchs, banking authoritarians, and a corrupted monetary system. This is the main reason why many big brains either moved to Bitcoin Cash or Ethereum in 2017.

There is something called zk rollups on Ethereum, and some use zero knowledge to make transactions private. Like Aztec Protocol, which is used by zk.money. It’s also the same technology used by Tornado Cash, which was sanctioned recently.

PoW is just PoS with an extra step. As long as Bitcoin doesn’t implement ASIC-resistance, it’ll always be a rich gets richer.

That’s not true. There is operational expenditure, like electricity cost, internet data, hardware that holds the client softwares, etc. It’s just that the depreciation is slower, and less expensive over time than GPUs or ASICs. Maybe this i

What I'm trying to say is that anybody who wants to implement new features not accepted by the Core maintainers will never catch on, precisely because the share of other clients being used is so low. A more distributed, equal % amongst

None of these clients will likely ever compete with Bitcoin Core. https://coin.dance/nodes

"Officially approved" specs are talked about amongst the devs in all client teams on the Ethereum calls, with proposals having to go through the EIP process, which are then implemented by each team. Also, Parity Open Ethereum is d

You sure can, until the Bitcoin Core supporters tell people that the fork is an attack on Bitcoin, and crypto media spreads that lie.

Exactly this. There was a recent community push for consensus layer clients to be more decentralized, which seemed to have worked. Next is the execution layer clients to have better % in use.

It was supposed to transition to PoS from the beginning.

It's true. Bitcoin Core is the most used, so development is basically centralized. https://coin.dance/nodes

There's a difference between governance PoS and consensus PoS (Ethereum). There are also several variations of PoS.

It's not really minor to worry about funds being inaccessible for who knows how long when Solana is down. I'd rather go with Polygon or Arbitrum for now since it's fast, and wait until zkEVM like zkSync is out. Same with Star

Well, the development of Bitcoin Core is highly susceptible to corporate influence as seen by what Blockstream did in the past (which is less now and more diverse), but still, it can happen again in the future should there be any contentiou

It's easier for those with the funds, and connections to manipulate, and censor discussions about other forks - and some pro-Segwit people did exactly that with the 2017 hard fork, like on /r/bitcoin, bitcointalk, etc.

I agree with this. I also had significant success by permanently alleviating the major symptoms of ADHD (like bumping into walls, not cleaning room, not being able to pay bills on time) with 1 trip of LSD about 8 years ago. I don't eve

Well, Bitcoin design WAS well thought out, until Blockstream nerfed it, and pushed its own product, Lightning Network.

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 12 and put on stimulants until I was about 23. I had the classic symptoms of not being able to clean my room, not being able to stay on top of bills, couldn’t use a calendar, bumped into things, changed
