I feel like some people on HN thrive so much on negativity. I don't even think this feedback is constructive. Look, author has 1 or 2 cards. I have an Amazon card, a Target card, a Debit card, my FSA card, my Company credit card. I hav

Just yesterday there was that Google email from 2010 talking about how JS can not evolve any further. It made me feel a bit wasteful about my time spent with the likes of node and angular. Seeing things like this reminds me how much JS is c

I'm more than happy to elaborate. Web Client: First of all, I hate how control are at 4 opposite corners of the screen. On any screen size it now takes longer to go from one control to another. I used to be able to zoom down all the w

Great attitude. I've known a start-up or two that either pivoted or dropped their project altogether at the news of Google releasing a similar idea. Google is great at engineering, but the new iteration of Google Maps is proof IMO that

This is silly. The notion basically applies to every crowd-sourced service out there.

This video is so much better at conveying what the Surface offers. I really did facepalm back when the first ad came out and was not surprised at all by the low sales.

Yeah, there's really no alternative, especially for football. For NBA I can get League Pass but anything that's locally aired is blocked so I'm forced to find some TV that airs it, at a local bar or what have you.

Everyone in my office knows how to enjoy beer. As a result, we have a fridge full of it. Do we ever get drunk at work? No. Do we ever let it affect our productivity? No. Do we drink it every day? No. That being said there are numerous occas

Interesting, I currently use Venmo, which ties into Facebook accounts so it's super easy to find people. But Venmo is only free is you tie your checking account. With this I can tie my debit card (which I guess is the same thing). So,

This is great. Sometimes I travel out of the US and am pretty much phoneless unless I purchase a temp sim card or something. T-Mobile is doing pretty disrupting things in the mobile service market and I hope it pays off for them.

I wish the lyrics distinguish between the word la and the abbreviation L.A. Then I can accurately compare New York vs. L.A. mentions, 'cause no rapper says Los Angeles.

I beg to differ. Every month or so HN always has some blog post hit front page about how Facebook is broken and needs to be fixed, pointing out all of its issues (subjectively) and offering no alternatives or solutions. I've had the exact o

I don't see how comparing Flow vs. Rails proves PHP as a language has reached its limit relative to Ruby as a language. Most of the examples seem to be syntactic vs. anything "limit" related.

I'm so glad Netflix went out to prove this can be done. Truth is many cable providers have exclusive content like DirecTV and Friday Night Lights. It never really worked because the cost to subscribe to cable for one show was so high. Netfl
