Not sure I understand then, the OTP library says "This library is experimental and will likely have many breaking changes in the future!". So you can use untyped OTP as you would from (say) Erlang?

They seem to have rewritten/wrapped OTP, but it's not production ready. https://github.com/gleam-lang/otp YMMV, but a BEAM language without OTP severely limits its appeal and usability.

Is this "rebus" logo any good? I find it pretty bad-looking (while the striped IBM logo is definitely elegant). Done by an intern in an afternoon? I'd understand that, but as a work of art...

Why do we need a language that creates a text page by compiling to JS? the same set of goals are handled by AsciiDoc. Real publishers (eg Oreilly) use AsciiDoc as their input format to create books and websites.

A dedicated 10 Gigabit internet link at a data center will cost you around $1,000 per month from any of a number of providers. A 10 gigabit link can transmit 3240 Terabytes of data in one month.

I work in telcos, and literally all of them are pay-to-win. When I see those badges on a website I consider them "badges of demerit".

Of all the reasons why the NPM ecosystem sucks, the compression of archives is but a side note.

Who cares about how large a NPM library is? the issue is what you send to your clients, not how monstrous is what you download once on the integration server.

The reason why I posted this, was that I find it kind-of interesting for the "culture wars" that plague public discourse - especially in the US, but with a global fall-out - where a number of topics are mis-used as either politica

I'm a typography fan, but let's admit it - 90% of the world population could live in world where Courier and Comic Sans would be the only fonts avaiable and would not notice a thing.

I believe K&R is a wonderful introduction to C - "wonderful" as in "let's open the editor and try this". It's well written, simple, and you are left with the feeling that someone just gave you a Jedi weapon

Should we expect people to study humanities? A lot of the best software is written by amateurs or hobbyists in their spare time. I'm sure there is plenty of experts on Greek tragedies just because they love it.
