But it's chromium serving local content. That is somewhat of a difference. I run Slack only in Safari. It works significantly better than the desktop app.

What's a normal range for Bluetooth headphones? Because I was pretty amazed to still have audio playing on my AirPods being ~75m away from my phone. To be fair, there was nothing but a single pane of glass between the two, but still, t

You're absolutely right, I dismissed this far too early and didn't think far enough for an app like this. Thanks for clearing that up.

Not a bad point, I hadn't thought about that, but you do still have the option of flushing all reviews with an update if they're primarily negative.

Same here, I couldn't care less about a German translation. I'm not going to see it if it's not the only language the app comes with. I do however prefer a German locale as in number, time, units, etc.

I really hope not. I'm not saying localization isn't important, but holding back an English app because of this is something I don't understand. A huge part of the world speaks English just fine. Release first, localize later

I'm using gh pages for my site, on a custom domain. I really don't want to use cloudflare or similar services for personal reasons. Afaict there's not really any other option though :/ I'd love it if GitHub were abl

As a child I dreamt of having two futuristic walkie-talkies sharing several pairs of entangled particles making perfect instant communication across the galaxy possible. Later my physics teacher crushed my dreams by telling me it's far

Would be nice, but the URL scheme would have to be different. A lot of tooling builds on top of GitHub's user/org and repo identifiers making up the entire URL.

Moving the cursor via a two-finger-swipe on the keyboard works surprisingly well. On the iPhone you can use this gesture (3D touch the keyboard) to also select text when pressing harder.

mitmproxy recently introduced a web UI as well. It's still very early, but definitely something to try out!

Unfortunately there doesn't really seem to be a good xmpp client for iOS. ChatSecure is ok and seems to be as good as it gets.

The comment above wasn't specifically about Thunderbird, but any native non-webmail client.

I have that enabled and the setting states that ~70MB have been downloaded in this way, but I don't know over which period and it also never does "feel" like it's working.

Showing a window is in the same ballpark, but being ready for input is something else. On Sublime this is basically the same instant. On VSC and Atom it takes a bit longer to actually render a cursor.

This originated as a joke in the [SwiftDE]( http://slack.swiftde.net ) Slack. The actual idea was to fork the Swift compiler and replace the keywords with German counterparts. Turned out to be a bit more involved than I expected a

Thanks for your post! I remember reading this sometime in 2013 and writing my own minesweeper AI based on it. It didn't get very far, but I sure had a lot of fun.

I only wanted to bring up that the beginning of the sentence made it sound like a theoretical concept that might work, but no one has ever tried or seen in practice. The concerns are definitely valid.

Don't most (mobile) devices broadcast all known SSIDs just in case a network is available and hidden? I don't really know a lot about the subject matter, but as I recall this does not apply to just iPhones . I also remember an in
