This could be the last time we see these funny videos. In this elections they “defeated” all opposition candidates with electronic ballot. Before electronic ballot results, even with all election fraud you see on camera, 90% of opposition c

AWS value comes from things like * RDS - easy db backups * CloudWatch - easy monitoring * IAM - easy access control * Systems Manager - easy fleet management and distributed parameter store. Integrated with IAM so you can hide your secret

I used to believe that a good bootcamp can make a developer out of anyone. I changed my mind after trying to teach programming to a couple of people. In all failed cases people was not trained to thing algorithmically, that is being able to

I think the problem is PG does not know underlying data distribution and use one sampling strategy which works for normally distributed data.

Can you share some insight about your project? React and redux didn’t happened for no reason. However I think they are too heavy and there are ways to solve same problems with basic tools. Your case may shed some light on to how this can be

I don’t claim OP is a bot but you advise would not work if he/she is. The problem with bots is you cannot refute all the nonsense they generate. They are not interested in arguing with you, their job is to generate as much contradictor

I don't get "not that hard" part. With REST I have a finite set of queries to optimise. With GraphQL I have unlimited set of queries. How I supposed to optimise for what I don't know? One good example - 'users'

And also introduce all REST tooling in addition to GraphQL. At this time people often start thinking "why I didn't start with REST in the first place?"

Can you share a story about how AWS helped to remove or redeuce spend on devops? In my experience with AWS you would get $5000/month for a basic website and also would be paying devops to manage AWS.

I never say a whop running on AWS and not having a person managing it. Said person always has enough skill to replicate same setup on a dedicated hardware/VPS. I don't say such shops does not exists, it just I never saw them. To m

Surprised to see so much misunderstanding here. “Byzantine fault tolerant consensus” problems have been solved with a trusted party since many many centuries. Entire modern monetary system is based on a trusted party - a central bank. Block

Long GC pauses caused by large collections/caches are decade long problem with no real wide spread solution so far. With Java and .NET you can resort to off-heap data. Not sure if this is possible with Go.

I think Djeikstra was talking about our limited ability to reason about what program actually does by looking at it source code. FP helps but there is still a long way ahead of us. For example I can create spaghetti code in any language and
