Microsoft's auth is needlessly aggressive at all edges - I had a Windows 10 gaming PC that I didn't create a live account for. Everything works fine, until I install Halo Infinite via Steam and have to log in with a Microsoft acco

Having the seed value set to the same value at run time will cause the pseudorandom number generator to produce the same sequence of values. In essence just creating a new random number generator in go w/o setting the seed will not act

Not from the CS world, but I've always enjoyed the Smith Chart. It's a tool to figure out impedance (eg resistance but a complex number) matching on a boundary to reduce reflected power. https://en.wikipedia.org/wi

Beautiful all canvas rendering <3 It's really a joy to see the art and the weirdness that can be done with modern web technologies. Doubly reassuring that this is done with open technologies which can enable unique expression in t

This ends up being a way to hide an ETL pipeline behind a SQL query. Using this and some materialized views it makes it easy to just pull data in from an external source and just have it in your system. I'm not sure on the value of thi

Beyond risk tolerance, companies post-layoffs are miserable places to work. Emotions are high, moral is low, and work piles up. Whatever "company culture" is boasted during interviewing is not going to exist if you take the job.
