No need for a second tab (focus switch is trackable) when you have a phone.

It's spot on to say that Greta Thunberg is the literal manifestation of the biblical antichrist, heralding the end of days?

Reading his recent "Greta Thunberg Is The Antichrist" stuff leads me to believe the Peter Thiel: - Is deeply unscientific, coming across as a highfalutin paranoid QAnon; and - Has zero self-awareness That said, he has plenty of mo

Django I love; last time I tried REST framework it felt like the polar opposite of DRY. Not sure if this was intentional or not.

It's very feasible for markers to detect that through even cursory review.

Also the openly supporting AfD didn't sit very well. It's not like it's in the past either, only a couple of weeks ago he publicly claimed that Trump is a child rapist, but notably seemed to have zero qualms cosying up to him

If using step-by-step debugging is a minor superpower, conditional break-points make you an Omega level programming superthreat.

I'm sorry, but this juxtaposition is very funny to me: - John Carmack loves debuggers - Debuggers are most useful when you have a very poor understanding of the problem domain

We've automated bullshit tedium work, like building and deploying, but this is the first time in my memory that people are actively trying to automate all the fun parts away. Closest parallel I can think of is the code-generation-from-

IMO we are likely in a golden era of coding LLM productivity, one in which the people using them are also experts. Once there are no coding experts left, will we still see better productivity?

My experience is that the "fancy autocomplete" is a focus destroyer. I know what function I want to write, start writing it, and then bam! The screen fills with ghost text that may partly be what I want but probably not quit. Focu

Do you think ChatGPT gets a free pass to talk people into jumping off buildings, because only somebody with psychosis would do it? If a person had convinced somebody to kill themselves then they would be, rightly, prosecuted for it.

Perspective correct texture mapping has been solved for quite some time without excessive subdivision. It was avoided in the Foley and Van Dam days because it requires a division per rasterized pixel, which was very slow in the late 80s.
