don't fall asleep. You don't even need to run to achieve them -- about 42 hours should be enough to experience them without any exercise at all. The only trick is every time you get tired -- push through it and wake yourself up wi

I think it's the lack of notification of replies -- this causes the 'conversation' to die out naturally over the course of a day or two.

This is pure speculation (graphics algorithms and geometry aren't my strengths), but if you were to do this with a set of 3d points, would we get a relationship between delaunay triangulation (pyramidalization / convex hull?) a re

I'm pretty certain that was some very bitter and heavy sarcasm that you replied to. Or is it hope?

Beautiful. This would make an excellent build target for a 'virtualized hardware' system in-silico.

Taking into account the above account of balance as {inner ear, weight on feet, sight}, could it not be both? To knock an industry giant off balance, mess with its internal metrics and decision-makers, its sense of mass and 'which way

Holding one's gaze still leads very rapidly to intense visual hallucinations. Just as the mind hallucinates the details in our blind spot, when you gaze fixedly long enough, the entire visual field begins to go - and in the process, be

I love the idea of a visualization of overlapping language phonetics! something that showed both the hierarchical nesting of languages and the actual phonemes themselves. Besides tsu and dzu, every phoneme in Japanese is accounted for in th

I've been dying to get my hands on one of these :) I think there's a pretty large and unexplored possibility space in using these MPE controllers for controlling things other music, as well...

Oooh, I see what you're saying. For want of an "s". Yes, in this context, I am aware that it is a whole class of functions -- and that f is a label being affixed to that class of functions. Sorry for the confusion -- that mak

There's a joke about art teachers funding future art consumers, but it's only funny because it's true. Teaching people to appreciate and distinguish is important to the arts now, more than ever. I wonder how much the work its

I'm not quite sure why this seems to be so controversial, except for the light abuse of notation in my english. Saying that f: X->Y means f maps an input from domain X to output in range Y is to say that we are defining a function -

label the function going from X->Y would be how I was intending that to be read. I'm well aware that X->Y is a type signature ;)

I think f: X->Y could be fairly thought of as labeling the function X->Y with f.

Paolo Bacigalupi is an excellent example of someone with a focus on biology. Windup Girl in particular is excellent, although I love his short story collections as well.

This is a very interesting and important question. I think that until we answer your question rigorously, the best bet right now is to start with the expensive powerful LLM, and then after your system is prototyped and working, piecewise

Cool work! Glad to see someone else finds the theory of slant rhymes fascinating. This is a pretty decent introductory article on the subject, but it's definitely missing a 'phonetic distance' measure to tie it all together.

This is why I prefer a self-optimizing collections library. Many of these inefficient passes can be internally re-wired when combining 'objects' which represent the functions and their rules of composition. Inline 'debug'
