Some people believe anything they're told, as long as it's from "their guy". Their guy said that's how they work. Their guy is currently POTUS.

At least it was the finger print scanner and not your finger that needs replacing. Biometrics as an EXTRA layer of security, on SHARED devices, makes sense. As a convenient replacement for passwords, on a personal device, net negative.

AI has made me hate real people even more that I already did. Constantly seeing human behavior emulated amplifies how much real people are on auto-pilot, even (especially?) the parts that make them "them".

> “It surprises me that the federal government has not gotten involved” Another bullshit narrative from the party of small government giving big government a plausible excuse to overreach, even more.

no one that uses the phrase "mind virus" is qualified to teach anyone anything. Its only purpose is to dismiss valid criticism of an idea.

Make it a separate build that doesn't even have any of the AI code in it because a flag can't be trusted. Especially when there's a history of resetting flags after updates.

I'm guessing because it is, in no way, a fit for HN, so several users probably flagged it. This post is even less of a fit, I'm guessing it will get flagged too.

The funny thing is, MS office apps looks less out-of-place on Linux because most apps are already different. On Windows 11, it looks like the forgotten step-child of Windows 8.
