Ouch. I probably shouldn't have spoken so absolutely. I've driven in most of the (Continental) U.S. but I've never been much North of Boston (i.e. Maine) or to some of the more desert regions of of the far southwest (Arizona

Depends on where you go. For instance, I've looked at driving Milwaukee to SF and would plan on doing it in 2.5 days. On the other hand, I've driven Chicago to Yellowstone and we took 4 days to get there. The biggest difference

After you reach a certain karma level - no idea what, but it's not that high - you are able to change the color of the top bar to something else of your choosing. If I had to guess, that page has the colors people have chosen, sorted b

Out of curiosity, how effective was that move at stopping spammers? It seems really easy to program a bot to create an account on the submission page, for example. Are spambots really that automated (and un-targeted) that a change so simpl

Personally, I have fallen in love with run-off elections (not sure the specific name) as used for electing the mayor in Chicago. Basically, there is an officially non-partisan election in which anyone qualified can be on the ballot. The vot

I use their free 4G service now. Yes, there are 101 up-sells and add-ons that cost money. However, as long as you use that 5MB minimum none of them are surprises. The '$2 fee' you speak of is (as you implied) not so much a fee as 'recharg
