On a side-project I'm working with someone else on at the moment, we're using Asana. I'm the tech/coding part, whereas he has the domain knowledge, so we have a Workspace setup for the project, then have seperate projects within that - ie,

Have you looked at FnordMetric - https://github.com/paulasmuth/fnordmetric and if so, why did you discount it as it's one I'm looking at integrating into a new site

Best advice I can offer if the agency who recruited you can't help is to talk to one of the British Consulates in Brazil and look at http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/countries/brazil/?langname...

From what I know (living in the UK and not needing to know about UK visa's) don't try and "game" Immigration - if you get a travel visa with the knowledge you have a job here already, it won't be looked well if it's discovered during your a

I say carry on - if there's a competitor, there's validation there's a need (assuming the competitor is making money) - focus on what differentiates you from them, and keep at it!

Yes, we have those in the UK called SPECS ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SPECS_%28speed_camera%29 ) although these are generally (only in my experience) used temporarily in roadworks etc. which have a temporary lower speed limit. I believe

I've heard some Spanish traffic lights are quite "smart" for traffic control (these are mainly on highways rather than junctions/pedestrian crossings) where if you travel at or below the speed limit, the lights are green, speed and they go

I think 1 minute is probably about the average wait in off-peak traffic (I'm going to have to start timing how long I sit at lights now) but on my journey I pass through at least 10 sets of traffic lights - waiting for 1min at each of them

I think in most cases yes, but some I come across the sheer weight of traffic on the roundabout (at peak times mainly) means that no traffic would be able to join (say at a junction immediately prior to a major one which has 99% of traffic

I commute quite heavily in the UK, and there are certainly places I can see where traffic lights are either completely surplus, or could be reduced to peak-operating only, and there are other places where it would cause worse problems if th

I believe a good way I've seen this work is to charge 1-2 days at a consultancy rate (based on amount of effort required) with terms that deduct the estimate charge from the project (assuming they sign)

Thanks, I've spoken to my boss about it (WFH today) and we're going to discuss when I'm next in the office, but I think a laptop stand/proper keyboard are things I'll be getting (I do all my work on a laptop, on a desk, using the laptop key

I'm in a kind of similar position - sole founder, lots of ideas and not a good enough way (at the moment) of keeping track of them. From looking around, OmniFocus and Basecamp (but Basecamp Light if it existed) would do the job, though boot

I like it - quick, easy/simple to use, I was/am working on something similar for PM purposes (after something very basic, tracking multiple projects, tasks/blockers within projects etc. for 1-2 users) What are your future plans for Tasskr?
