There is a natural pace of humans requiring food, water and sleep. The main issue with suspicious AI agents is that they never sleep. So it will take extra-coordination between timezones to ensure we don't let them in. Fundamentally, u

This doesn't seem like the right way to do business long terms. The off chance that someone actually take you up on it and pay your 'bill', you've destroyed a lot of goodwill and alerted the rest of the tech world of you

I'm surprised this is even a thing. After all, you go to Google not for the truth, but to search Google. Since when is truthiness the "guarantee of service"? You're not even paying for a google service, search is free...

Thanks for reminding me, I appreciate it. However there is justice for commenting poorly, there doesn't seem to be justice for posting lies and deceit, which is borderline a serial case here(?).

We've built a better SpaceX! says kid with cardboard rocket in the backyard. In Rust we trust! Common man, you're not even 5% of a Github replacement. Don't act like one. You've built a Git web UI with accounts, the easy

At this stage just expect that every accounts will get leaked or rooted, it's a matter of when, not if... Use varying email `plus addressing` (john+am2604@foo.com), varying passwords or passkey and 2FA on anything remotely important (u

I sympathise with the author being in the same boat, largely. I just want to emphasise a point... Calculators give 100% correct answers and yet we still hire accountants; for the simple fact that we don't want all to be accountants. Pe

+90% users in the past 3.5 years huh? That is incredible growth. How is it even measured?

It will be interesting to see the first AAA game that uses these methods instead of rendering a 3D world. Even if made from CGI worlds, it would be a very interesting approach and with somewhat predictable performances. Reminds me of Ecstat

Not terribly impressed with this one. I asked it for recommendation between Paris to Berlin and option 3 was Rome... and option 4 was Tokyo. mmmkay.

Very good. A viable if any longwinded ode to the original. Which in itself is very fitting.

"Ship on the go" is so insane to me. It's like people pulling their phones out while taking a piss standing, or having to pull their phones out when the traffic lights are red in a crossing. Just, do one thing at a time, live

This project in particular has been unconcerned with new coding practices so far, primarily, because I derive pleasure from hand-written implementations of my ideas, and believe that overcoming challenges the hard way is the main valu

Unicorns, strapped with rockets, too busy looking at each other to realise the Earth is far gone. They'll kill us all, or they'll kill each other. They sure as hell ain't making the world a better place, like they promised.

It's pretty safe to say that AI will be used on the battlefield making real life and death decisions before it will be able to render a decent pelican on a bike in SVG.

Exactly. You've expressed what I couldn't find the words to say. I love C, but the shear amount of CVE and crashes are much worse in terms of global energy usage than if it were safe. I imagine the strongest strong-typing ranking

I don't doubt that it did it but I wouldn't want to maintain whatever it ended up spewing after 35 hrs. In my experience, AI fixes problems by mostly adding more code. It's a short term gain for a long term hurt.

Side note... the best pixel fonts are the ones a game programmer, on a 48hrs ludum dare run, is inevitably speed drawing, pixel by pixel, in MS Paint :)
