I spent close to 6 years at a startup before quitting. I was an early employee there. Deep within my heart I knew I had to. I couldn't explain it to my friends or my family what made me take this decision. All I knew was it was about t

I totally understand your feelings. I too have hired local freelancers in the past and I still get emails from them now and then. I always mark them as spam, but they tend to change their email addresses every time :(

That's true. I'm in India and I pay 30% of that as taxes. So, basically I make $24.5 dollars after taxes. I usually charge $50-60 an hour for PHP work and I charged $80 an hour for a small ReactJS project last month. The only prob

I bought the same course (for $10 though) and it definitely worth it. The only problem is the course flow is a bit slow for an experienced developer who already knows ES6. I played the videos on 1.5x the speed and that worked for me.

Things which I've followed and would recommend: - Have a vagrant box set up so that the new engineer doesn't have to waste his/her time setting up the system. Use Ansible/Chef/puppet for provisioning the vagrant box

I'm not a designer but I'm pretty decent at both, frontend and backend. I use PHP,Laravel on the backend and React/Angular/Backbone on the frontend. Hit me up at mail@vivekgupta.com and we can talk further.
