I currently have 533 healthy feeds, 20 unhealthy feeds. However the vast majority of these are low-volume, many are probably dead (even the ones not explicitly unhealthy). I get roughly 1k new entries a month.

Personally I don't want the physical hardware. But I would be happy to buy the games if they just ran in PC ...and Nintendo wasn't a giant asshole. Of course if they started selling their games for PC that may be a sign of enough

This future seems very unlikely. Nintendo has published like 1 phone game? They are very much a fan of their garden. It course I would love to see this. I think Nintendo makes some very good games but have no interest in having specific phy

But if tons of people are partly buying a Steam Deck because it is a great way to play loads of retro games from NES to Switch in the same console they are still likely to buy some games from Steam which is sitting right there.

It seems like this is happening on Sony's side. It seems that most or all of their AAA games are available on Steam now. https://store.steampowered.com/publisher/playstationstudios (And I have to say they are prob

There used to be an option to redirect the Custom Tabs API to just open a regular Firefox tab. I loved that option as it replaced a reduced functionality API with the full thing. Too bad it got lost in the great fenix rewrite.

Sort of. You can just poll it like it is a feed. However annoyingly if you want push updates you need to subscribe which is a publicly visible action. There is no way to follow a feed without having some profile to appear as a "followe

nixpkgs is a funny situation where it is incredibly easy to just run with patches and additions locally. It is often easier to make a service config just for you than something reusable and broadly useful. Thankfully the upstream contributi

Schwab support accidentally broke my account so that it sends 2FA verifications over email and I couldn't be happier. (Well I could be happier if they supports TOTP, but I'm not holding my breath)

Mostly a Git issue. In general Git won't remove old data pushed to remotes. Maybe if they run a garbage collection. However GitHub does exacerbate it a little by providing APIs that list commits that are no longer in the history. Howev

It may be slightly faster to break the table into two and encode as 2 8-bit values. Each eight bit value can store the value of 5 cells. So two can encode the whole board (with one extra cell to use as you please). And if this is a hot part

Games with rich assets are big, that is true. But I don't see why this causes a problem for delivering a game over the web. It seems like the key requirements here are 1. Ask permission first and 2. Strongly cache the downloaded data.

The only way to do this reliably is to render the PNG to pixels then render it back to an PNG with a trusted encoder. Of course now you are taking the risk of vulnerabilities in the "render to pixels" step. But the result will be
