I'd say so. There are some smaller issues here and there of course - but it's getting better all the time. Bought a game on Joltfun the other day, took me all of 2 seconds to scan a QR code and pay.

What kind of fast results are you actually looking for? Is sub-second transactions not good enough for the vast majority of applications?

The amount of space in a Bitcoin block is around 7 TPS. Other blockchains make decentralization tradeoffs to process more transactions on-chain per second. For example, Ethereum requires better hardware: larger storage, better CPU and more

No it isn't a meme. Blockstream and some internet forums don't control Bitcoin. This is honestly just a conspiracy theory.

Yes, in the current fiat system that is the case, but there is no way for someone (a bank or government) to inflate the supply in world where Bitcoin is the currency everyone uses.

Ironically the people pushing for Web3 are mostly those that do not understand why decentralisation is key^1. The projects pushed by these individuals and corporations are largely very centralised. Look at the Solana fiasco a while back whe

I'm curious why you think this is the case. It's close to impossible (good luck convincing people to devalue their money) to increase the Bitcoin supply other than through minig.

This is such amazing news! Betting on Svelte was the best thing ever for both my career and sanity. I'm now heavily involved in the Svelte community and next Saturday we'll be hosting our fourth conference solely dedicated to Svel

The larger transactions have all been to transfer funds between exchanges. Very easy to transfer in and out when I want to quickly enter leveraged positions. It reduces counter-party risk for me. For the day-to-day stuff it's obviously

I use it almost daily, don't have any issues. I run my own node though for my main "wallet". I've done transactions of up to 3k without hick-ups. Any custodial ones I have tested have worked well, though.

No it's not real, the cost to do a simple transfer up until yesterday has been in the ballpark of 0.1-0.15. This very moment it's around $1. You can see the current estimated cost here: https://mempool.space In additio

This isn’t built on top of Bitcoin, it’s built on Bitcoin hard fork. Also, why would you use stable coins and thus adding a centralised point of failure when Bitcoin already solves this? Just use it as payment rails.

For all practical use-cases it is. Last time I used LN (earlier today) it cost me 0.05% to send some money.

When I look at WU for sending that amount to El Salvador from Sweden it's closes to $250. Are you sure it's only 12 AUD? There's a hefty fee baked into the exchange rate.

No, SvelteKit does not have support for partial hydration. What you're describing is the no js option in SK. That doesn't allow you to selectively add some JS, it's either all or nothing. You set this option on a per page bas
