How up-to-date is this [1] review from earlier this year for 0.3? Honestly, the review read nicely but left quite a questionable impression of V. [1] https://mawfig.github.io/2022/06/18/v-lang-in-2022.html

Why do you dislike people making a logo and trademark out of their name? It is a very old way to identify your trade with your name. In some countries it is the default for sole proprietorship to use your name in that way.

I started to work on something similar but way behind your project. I really believe AI models can help us as humans learn better! Do you have a blog or any other writeups on how you approached these problems?

Seeing those gigantic models it makes me sad that even the 4090 is supposed to stay at 24GB of RAM max. I really would like to be able to run/experiment on larger models at home.

I mean, you can, but you shouldn't. I don't think anyone is arguing that any representation is suitable for all usecases or that ieee754 should not be available in programming languages. Also, I think I'm too tired by now, I

Yes, all systems will have some drawbacks. My response was only geared towards this part: > numbers like 1/10 and 1/3 can only be approximated in a finite number of bits Maybe I should have been more explicit.

Could you elaborate what your intended meaning was? It felt to me like you were singeling out 'rationals' as not being the same number set. Maybe we also think of something different when talking about 'rationals'? Maybe

Rational numbers can also be trated as quotient of two integers and stored with arbitrary precision by storing these two values, even with limited precision of 2x32 bit integers, that would perfectly accurately capture 1/3 and 1/1

It's a nice website explaining the problem lightly, but I think the cool part is the encyclopedic language list handling floating point numbers and the reference for bigdecimal support. The only sentence I don't really like: >
