Not understanding this story entirely. You just hung up on someone and then they left a bad review. That's what reviews are for, no?

I think the poster is upset about DRM, not paying money. It should be easy to pay and own the content, but nowadays it's not easy. In past I paid for some content multiple times for instance, because one company decides to shut down t

Sounds like you ran a plex server - amazing tech, always makes me wonder what companies like Netflix, HBO, and now Disney spend all their money on... Users would probably be better of, if these systems would be distributed rather then centr

To be fair, this seems not like a mainstream use case... and you can use WSL to read it if you really want to (which seems like an advanced use case anyway). Cross platform FAT32 is the standard and Microsoft made that open.

The biggest problem and confusion just is that there isn't a driver. Noone challenges a human for going on a joyride. The fact that there is no driver visible might be a bigger challenge for self driving vehicles and its acceptance.

It took all of 8 minutes from the bug bounty hunter reporting, to Github confirming the finding. That's amazing.

I'd still prefer mfa for important stuff, because two factors are better then one. Since the one thing we know about security is that we don't know or understand it that well, and time works against security engineering.

They arent getting zero, they get the RSUs they were given and which vested. Sounds less dramatic that way. Still, many probably expected more.

Not really, Apple could have just supported running 32 bit apps. Google is pulling similar things in the Play Store. They will pull apps just because they are not 64 bit. They delayed the deadline for a year now, because many developers rea

Still remember the picture from the NSA with a line between two Google data centers and the Google frontend terminating SSL and traffic between datacenter being in cleartext. And there was this big smiley face from the NSA on the slide!

Facebook can send the URLs from client to their service, that just bypasses the e2e channel and opens up a nice side channel for Facebook to peek into messages.

Not a very useful article... Take away: Don't invest in businesses that don't have a solid plan to make money. If you bought Microsoft stock in 2017 it doubled. If you bought Snap you lost half of it.

There are many arguments, but Visusl Studio is the best IDE for the last two decades. Same is true for the Office suite. In my current job we don't have either and its utterly frustrating how bad the alternatives are.

The shoe would actually look pretty cool from an artistic point of view. Given the current situation. I'm sure this will not be the last time we'll see that design.
