I've actually thought about that idea and even did some initial prototyping for a mobile app. But the idea I had was a more usable/less scammy version of craigslist specifically for local commerce. Initially, I was thinking of lim

Great so have I! Intersubjective is what clued me in. The whole idea of Intersubjective reality cleared up a lot of misgivings I had about civilizations/societies.

Though I pay attention to politics like you and unlike the OP I have become skeptical in journalism to truly inform anyone. I've migrated to books primarily for my information and this was before Trump was a serious political contender

I think they are often pretty bad. Too many start-ups seem to place chatbot's in their product just because it's the right thing to do. I think chatbots can be great but their design and implementation are often terrible.

Hmm, that's curious. I think about that a lot. I am both "diverse" in that I am biracial and "diverse" in the sense that I come from a poor uneducated family. Note: I use diverse in quotes not because I don't b

Wikipedia is a great example of a free decentralized product. I suppose a way without having to ask for donations is one I would be interested in though I suspect there are " whales" who make up the bulk. I think the issue with Wi

Started reading last night. No technical expert but I came of age after the widespread use of the Internet. Many people, my age and older, can care a less about the philosophy of decentralized platforms. However could you combine usability

How meta! I submitted my side project http://www.bookeyes.co/ . Though it was simplistic and still is BookEyes was well received. I got feature ideas I'm in the process of implementing.

Hmm I disagree that something is wrong if you can't understand algebra. Something is wrong with a system that make you "learn" information irrelevant to your own life.

I on the no required math courses train for non-stem. I completely agree! Of course since the argument can't be practical, ie you will use this someday which you won't, opponents talk about the importance of a liberal arts educati

There we go right here. In theory people say engineers need to write cleary, accurately, whatever adverb is used to describe it in order to get a job etc. I wonder how many engineers get hired for their writing ability? In fact I bet a colle

Non-Stem; I'll give it go but the answer may be considered a cop out. I don't think STEM majors should have to take writing courses nor non-stem majors take math courses. This should not be done in University but earlier. I'm
