When it's politics, it's not "trolling" -- it's sampling the constituency's appetite for the candidate, and getting early testing poll / focus group data feedback for free.

Probably. I think it basically proves that any rule structured game without randomness is solvable.

This is because nil is not the same as SomeInterface. They are different types. In the above example, the correct code would be this: fmt.Println(bar.(SomeType) == nil) // this will print true You need to explicitly conve

Could you explain what you mean? I don't think many experienced Go programmers would agree with you, so I'm curious as to your rationale.

Cool. Is there a reason why you didn't think it would be possible to contribute/extend xo?

Most likely the ISPs drop/block the BGP routes, or just null route traffic for those blocks.

We released a tool, xo, that generates safe and idiomatic Go code from a database schema that does not make any use of an ORM. I have been meaning to add support for generating code for other languages but have not yet had time to do that.

I'm sure being head of country for a company that will likely IPO above $100 billion will be fine for their careers.

This is a clear troll. Absolutely nothing said by this poster has anything to do with the actual article. Additionally, the user account is only 13 days old. Moderators, please kill this account and postings.

Anyone with half a clue that is doing heavy marketing via email, knows to strip the stuff after the +. BTW, the + is part of the email specification, and technically any email server not supporting it is broken.

Actually, I'd predict the opposite -- that people will purposefully start to increase their commute times and tell the car to "take the scenic route." People are frustrated with commuting because they have to be mentally enga

They've already been hit with that in the EU. And, I imagine the first thing after this current election cycle in the US ends will be newly minted (or newly defrocked, as the case may be) politicians attempting to take a cheap shot at

Thanks! If you're actively using xo, I'd love to know more about how you're using it. I'm in the middle of writing up some real world examples of how to use it, and would love to be able to point to work done by others.

We released a tool for generating Go types/funcs for databases/queries that might help you with this: https://github.com/knq/xo (FWIW I completely agree the added mental overhead for ORMs are not necessary)

Well, the author's day job might be as a "whitehat" for a state sponsored entity -- its even possible/plausible the author could be one of the HackingTeam -- perhaps motivated by company politics to expose them.

Are you advocating making the US government larger in order to force the US private sector to shrink?

It's interesting that this is from 2009 -- even in 2009 it was trivial to sit at public wifi points or plugged into corporate networks and grab credentials as they went over the air/wire unencrypted -- even more so then since at t

Ok -- this is badly tripping me out. A former employee of mine in the Philippines is (was?) his wife. I'm pretty sure I met this guy while I lived in the Philippines. Even though I haven't seen her since 2008 (I think?) her family

On a balance sheet, you are trading CapEx for OpEx. That's it. For certain organizations with specific types of computing loads, that may make the most sense. (btw -- I disagree with your math there on the actual cost -- I agree it cou

It seems to me that the continued debate over whether or not the market is random (or whether it is not), is very similar to the debate of nature vs nurture. My instincts, and my conclusion is that there is an element of both randomness and
