If they leave YouTube, they'll soon learn just how much they've been relying on Google's free bandwidth and storage for their videos. They'll either have to move to just another ad-supported service (who will almost cert

That was my point but I feel like everyone that replied to me thought I was making the opposite. I think your submission is awesome :)

Plenty of people still use mp3 files. It’s not representative of the average person, although the average person isn’t going to be using this tool, but the large(est?) music tracker still accepts uploads in flac and mp3 format, scene releas

They weren't wrong. Unfortunately, we didn't use it wisely and obliterated objective reality and allowed people to create spaces where they never have to engage with anything challenging.

Are your skin checks just visual checks? If so, read my other comment in this thread. It was in UK fyi.

Similar story: mom had a melanoma removed from her foot. multiple lymph node biopsies and other tests said it had been successfully removed. She went back once a year for checks for 4-5 years. It was only when she was called into see an onc

No doubt this happens, it must be so rare for someone to put out poisoned half-eaten sausage rolls with the aim of killing a random dog that finds it, I think this is perhaps a teensy bit paranoid.

Two of our cats died in their mid-teens of old cat illness, and we chose to have them put to sleep at home, purring on someone's lap. The other medical options the vet suggested in each case would have given the cats a bit more time,

I have had a few cats that had cat flaps, so they could come and go as they pleased. They slept indoors, often on the warmest lap they could find, a lot. However, they also disappeared into the trees and bushes in the neighborhood for hours

It may be the case that high end PCs with the latest expensive graphics cards can run modern games like cyberpunk at 240fps using things like DLSS, but console games regularly run at 30fps in “quality” modes and 60fps in “performance” modes

Epic reddit-tier contribution. I was hoping for a lame pun, but a low effort reference without explanation is just as good. Bacon.

Sadly no: https://github.com/openworm/OpenWorm/milestones If everyone who submitted this to HN made a commit to the repo we'd have a worm civilization being simulated!

I'm not sure why you're being downvoted. If you look at how many people cried out when they removed the sexual content from the Replika chatbot app (which wasn't even an LLM afaik, but I never used it) the number of people wh
