Accenture just invested in Stardog, leading Knowledge Graph plaform, which is based on these W3C standards. Can't get much less "academic" than Accenture. https://newsroom.accenture.com/news/accenture-inv

Some drugs help support exposures therapy (a kind of CBT) to be able to manage OCD on a daily basis. It's not really curable per se, but totally manageable. If you can, find a good CBT therapist who specializes in OCD. Makes a huge dif

It wasn’t an acquihire. Apple paid a lot of $$ for FDB.

Founders are building a distributed systems simulation product now called Antithesis. My data fabric startup, Stardog, is a happy Antithesis early adopter customer. It’s helping us reproduce and fix non-deterministic bugs deterministically.

This was the FDB team’s stock demo in the early days. It’s a killer move.

That’s a bit of a toy from the perspective of enterprise requirements. Good starter system if you adhere to open source religion.

I don’t understand this argument. Several overlapping specs max exist. ISO specs weren’t built to take advantage of Web specs. W3C specs were. Like it or not, the W3C didn’t do any disservice to the ISO or fight unfairly.

Benchmarks consistently fail to show this perf advantage. Fair ones anyway. Which makes sense because property graphs and RDF are very similar and mostly differ in terms of syntax, i.e., stuff that good query planners and indexing schemes c

OBS Studio. It's very powerful, classic open source, with a not amazing UI, but, it does everything mmhmm does and a lot more. I use both every day.

RDF* or Edge Properties fixes this definitively and it's spread to most RDF systems. See http://stardog.com/docs/ for example.

There was no PR. But there are traces, like Amazon acquired the domains, etc. Many former Blazegraph engineers are now Amazon Neptune engineers according to LinkedIn, etc. It was rumored widely in the graph db world fwiw.

If you actually read the docs, it's not Janus-based, it's based on BlazeGraph, which Amazon reportedly acquihired last year.
