At deviantART we're dropping IE6 support shortly... it wound up representing a tiny percentage of our traffic, and we like the idea of being able to use the crazy innovations of IE7. It's slightly painful, because we've been forcing IE into

At the time of IE6's release it was a fantastic browser. That was Microsoft's problem; it was so much better than Netscape at the time (and had such a bundling advantage) that they totally dominated the market. So Microsoft stopped improvin

I entirely agree with you. Going to school is far from the only way to learn about a subject, especially if you're just doing it because you feel that it's what you should be doing. If you're just putting in the hours because you think you

I tend to think that part of the etiquette for being early is that you make yourself scarce until just before the scheduled time. Ideally, you also make your presence knowable by the person you're meeting with, in case it actually would be

I don't know if it can even really be said to be conceptually based on Harmony. They're certainly both drawing tools using Canvas, but that's like saying Photoshop is based on MS Paint because they're both drawing tools on Windows. Harmony

There really doesn't seem to be any code re-use. Even MrDoob agrees: http://twitter.com/mrdoob/status/20933173931 :) In particular, the brushes behave differently. Note how in Harmony the currently-drawn line interacts with old lines, w

The sketchy one is superficially quite similar. Once I started drawing with it you can see it's using some different line algorithms though -- the sketching plays off of previously drawn lines (and earlier segments of the current line) inst
