Personally I use DigitalOcean for this sort of thing. But this is why AWS has Lightsail https://aws.amazon.com/lightsail/ to service that use case and then let people upgrade later to full AWS.

I had several friends and coworkers end up in this situation. Lucky for me, I started late enough that my options were underwater before my first year cliff and stayed that way...

The thing I realized about OpenBSD is it’s made by and for the developers. They are going to do what works for them and fits their priorities. Not what works for the widest possible audience.

OpenBSD only supports 802.11n currently. From what I've read, not having direct knowledge, 802.11ac is much more complex to implement and no one is currently working on it. That said, I just ran a speed test on my Thinkpad and got 50Mb

If you hadn't seen it, you may find this recent discussion about sysupgrade informative: https://marc.info/?t=156851721400002&r=1&w=2 And yeah, you're right, even light criticism on the OpenBSD lists is me

You can also do sysupgrade -s to follow current snapshots, and then you get a rolling release OpenBSD without build world.

First, I don’t have my teams do daily stand ups. But in the rare times that I have, it’s mostly because the team tends to get pulled in a lot of directions, and the standup is a reminder to focus. There is usually a larger organizational is

Back in the 2011-2012 era of Square, Brian would often opine at length about our products, our strategy, etc. He'd write as if he had some sort of inside information and was a serious authority on the subject. Anytime he'd make a

Lets keep in mind that YouTube has been around for 14 years... In societal terms that's a relatively short amount of time to have a free platform where anyone can post their ideas, no matter how crazy or toxic. Before that, you could b

This is what we do in our office. We use airplay or a Zoom screen share. Plugging in is a last resort. I never have to do that.

I had that same year G35, I remember it having far too many buttons on the dash. The flip side of everyone arguing that buttons and knobs are better. IIRC it has this really tedious dial to use the GPS, but you could raise and lower the GPS

I suspect trade unions are most concerned with the short to medium term interests of their current members. And less so with the interest of the greater public. In this case they likely want a pay check for their members. This is just my op
