It has had an incredible amount of mainstream media attention around the world in the last couple of days so it’s hardly surprising. That said, it did cross my mind that dark forces or a disgruntled employee might be at work.

With Apple having moved to Arm there are definitely ecosystem benefits brewing too. I can run a Debian VM out of the box with UTM, compile an Arm64 package using standard Linux toolchain and have it run directly on a RPi. It's like hav

It obviously doesn't cover the why of Sahara's greening, but for anyone who has access to BBC iPlayer, the following programme [1] has a nice summary of humanity's journey out of Africa. It's amazing that the majority of

The worst bug I encountered was when physically relocating a multi rack storage array for a mobile provider. The array had never been powered down(!) so we anticipated that a good number of the spindles would fail to come up on restart. So

As an aside, if you haven’t yet found this wonderful if tiny retro gaming experience, the InfoNES emulator project ported to PicoSystem is definitely worth hitting up: https://github.com/fhoedemakers/PicoSystem_InfoNes

Now that does look interesting! Given the Powered Up (train set) remote works over bluetooth and I understand can be made to work with a Technics Hub by flashing with the Pybricks firmware, I'd been wondering whether it's possible

Indeed. Surely the development effort required is a rounding error compared to that expended for most of the other ‘features’ announced today. Totally inexplicable!
