Everything becomes more convenient and cheaper with time (barring cataclysm). And just because something is a "large object" does not mean there is a huge amount of precision work involved. I'll give another example. A telescope is big.

What is the difference between the medical profession and the legal services profession? It is just as pricey to become a lawyer. Yet even lawyers have the concept of "pro bono".

Combinations is also in +3.0. Otherwise a valid concern. (Been burned by that one myself.) I can't find the source, but there might be some confusion between map/filter/reduce and itertools. Guido does not like map/filter/reduce and want

I've seen moderately serious folk play. They will recognize multiple sets simultaneously and either go for the one closest to them or the one with three cards tightly clustered. And they move fast! Watching them play is like watching a m

Peter, we need to talk. http://docs.python.org/library/itertools.html "combinations()" is a built in. No need to re-implement it. Also, nested [... for ... for ... for] is silly. Just use "product()", documented on the same page. [''.j

Sounds like you want any Palm or Windows CE device made in the last decade. I am not kidding, you described 90% of what I do on the 2003 PDA I picked up for $15. (The remaining 10% is gmail, skype, and an NES emulator.) Did I mention it

One huge issue: zoning. How many people per house? Unless it is zoned for apartments, you are going to have a rough time. Many places have rules against N unrelated people living in the same building. I think in my township it is 2, or s

Advertise much? I've been lurking HN since it was founded and never even heard of this. Shame I won't be in town that night. Would have loved to attend, and will try to make it to future events.
