Yeah it sucks and I don't think they're alone. It seems to be all coated strings. I've switched to D'Addario NYXL's for electric now.

I bought a pack of Elixir guitar strings the other day and noticed on the back it said they're made by W.L. Gore as in the people who make Gore-Tex. Turns out the strings are all coated in PFAS to keep them from corroding. I guess I kn

I'm hoping this update helps with Firefox's performance watching Twitch streams. Twitch kinda chugs no matter what browser I use but it's noticeably worse with Firefox. From the googling I've done, I'm not alone in

I think this makes perfect sense. Competition fundamentally doesn't work when it comes to infrastructure like this. I don't hear anyone saying that we need more privatized competition in our sewer systems. Why? Because it's i

I think that has a lot to do with your municipality. I have municipal electricity and not only is it very affordable, it's 100% renewable because they started the shift to renewables back in the 1980s. They haven't had to raise ra

They make a good point in this article, I just wish Newsweek and other media outlets would get this pissed off about climate change. "Old and unafraid of the climate crisis? Good for you. Now stop killing future generations." If w

Could someone explain this a bit better? I've read two articles on this this morning and I still don't understand what the privacy concerns are with this feature. Thanks!

I feel like this article ended before it should have. I'm still not exactly sure what the author means by Don't Repeat Knowledge. Should we not be refactoring or... just don't go overboard?

I laughed when I saw this was the top comment on this post! My first thought reading this article was, dang, wait til he learns how Taylor Swift holds a pen. It looks weird at first but it's surprisingly comfortable and easy to write w

We're drowning in headlines these days that I feel like this story really fell through the cracks. People who live near fracking really need to know this.

Why. Just why. This is so stupid. It's taken decades to make progress on current abatement efforts. This is only going to make more people sick with cancer for decades to come. As the article mentions, it's been completely banned
