Yes, in fact ublock origin has a very advanced global/local case where you can block resources globally or block resources locally and temporarily if you really want. It's generally better to use ublock origin on it's own tha

It's not like there isn't really a solution to this. You don't really need NoScript if you can learn how to use ublock origin in advanced mode.

Have you seen the amount of telemetry built in Android/Chrome or any Google product? Windows is only now trying to level the playing field to that which Google already assumes.

I disagree that it's completely different situations. I have not seen anywhere in the legal structure that allows such moves if advertisements are enabled. It is still a company abusing their monopoly situation to influence another mar

Windows Phone died because Google played dirty. They basically prevented Windows Phone from having decent Google apps such as youtube/google maps. They also did user agent blocks to ensure those web applications didn't work on the

I really disagree with this perspective. Frankly Google needs a counter-balance in the browser market. Microsoft can easily act as Google's counter balance. Microsoft is one of the few companies that have the resources capable of maint

It's pointless because , the chance of a cable lasting 7 years doesn't happen. Even the phone isn't typically designed to last that long. The cases where people end up replacing their cable because of a new standard is way le

This is a rather pointless stat though. None of the cables currently available are rated for 9 years and most have a ridiculously short lifespan of 1-2 years anyway. In fact it probably works against Apple as it demonstrates that the churn

I don't think that is worth the privacy lost by having Google parse voice commands. 15-30 seconds inputting data versus privacy lost by having a profile generated on me by Google. A Google VP literally said that you should warn guests

People could always use the snap versions of libreoffice/browsers and either limit access to the home directory or remove access to the network. It seems the easiest way of applying a Android permission based model to Linux. Alternativ

Why exactly can't you setup something like dnscrypt-proxy and just turn of DoH within the browser? That is exactly what you are looking for no? I am currently using both, and as someone at work, I am glad for DoH being built in on Fire

What makes you think a ex-girlfriend wouldn't be paranoid enough to look over at an 8-digit passcode or pattern?

This is on purpose, otherwise anyone can just register a new phone including an attacker. In these contexts, you should have a recovery mechanism in place such as recovery codes or a recovery email.

Wouldn't the US company resolver be based in the EU though and subject to EU Law? That would have to be the case without the DNS resolver having ridiculously slow DNS query times. I don't think the US govt can ask for data present

I would say a surface pro would be more useful. Or dev edition xps 13 if I were to choose. Surface pro with the surface pen is a killer feature for note taking.

Note, on Firefox if you enable the DoH and the esni mechanisms in about:config. Then that information is encrypted to cloudflare hosted sites. At that point, they can't even use deep packet inspection to identify which sites were visit
