There might be trouble with depth perception there. When I watch baseball, I can't easily tell at what point the ball crosses the plate in the behind-the-mound view. When a pitcher throws a breaking ball, I usually have to look at the

Sure, it might sound crazy, but I've met plenty of programmers who were proud of using tools that make them do lots of extra work. It is a skill, even if it's not the most cost-effective way to get a working product.

Are dyads only done by putting the other operand in the string of J code? Or is there a nice way to apply a dyad to two Ruby arrays? (I wasn't sure from the Readme if this is already there or your second point in "future direction

Would be akin to using a band saw to make an intricately carved figurine. Sure, it is doable, but probably more effort than it is worth for a person. "Right" tools for the right job and all of that. After that, I can't resi

5) It looks you could easily implement APL as a DSL within an existing language with an extensible parser. Racket, for instance. I'm working on something along these lines, but not planning on keeping the APL/J-like syntax (the

I always wonder if all the orchestra was given a click and a copy of the modified video, if the conductor could just sit down and eat a sandwich. Got to try a rehearsal like this with my high school band (Sorcerer's Apprentice, IIRC)

Depending where you live in the US, $40k for living expenses would be normal for a family of 4. Does this still hold if we restrict ourselves to the subset of the US where an engineer is likely to get paid $120k per year?

You also need a very, very good antenna for that sort of stunt. For 10mW, sure, but I've done Michigan to France on 5W with a plain old 40m loop 15-20 feet off the ground. In hindsight, I should have tried it on 3W if only to get 100

Of course parsing is something thats very important if you are making your own DSL. And this is another application where Haskell really shines. This is why the guys who do programming language research produce papers with code in Haskell.
