Did you ever see this one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpk2tdsPh0A This guy literally has a PhD in SM64. It's insanely complicated, and surprisingly lucid.

No assembly involved. You launch a 20 ton tungsten rod with minimal atmospheric steering ability to LEO. Deorbiting the rod to a target will result in a 0.1 kiloton impact, which due to the directional nature of the strike will be far more

Honestly, Summers has joined the pantheon of people I recommend people never take economic advice from -- also included are Jimmy Cayne, Vik Pandit and Dick Fuld.

Is this the same Larry Summers that lost a billion dollars for no reason by forcing the Harvard endowment into a bunch of shitty IRS trades?

If anyone wants to know how Vermont Trotter's case panned out, here's the last appeal he exhausted in 2015: https://www.carltonfields.com/files/uploads/Documents/realpr... TLDR: he lost.

Sure, or we can think of it in the same way we thought about their investment in Citigroup in 2007, their investment in Uber in 2016 or their investment in Snapchat this year. They are masters of market timing... just not the good kind.

Maybe I'm one of those low productivity types that interview processes are trying to permanently weed out, but I rarely write more than 40-50 good lines of code per day. Commits any smaller than that would just look like code Hemingway

How much time do people spend messing with their source control that extreme tools like this become necessary? I commit like, once a day. What am I doing wrong?

This. Git is not a best in class solution, and the community that has coalesced around it has predictably not chosen best in class tooling. This is okay. It's just source control at the end of the day.

As it turns out, tunnel boring isn't rate limited by boring speed, but by the relocation of shit that needs to be bored through like underground utility conduits. Has Elon's company figured that problem out?

If they're anything like the automated data collection kiosks at LAX, this is going to be a colossal failure. In my experience, they are terrible at identifying brown people and children. Good luck implementing this at scale.

Why would this be surprising? Harvard mints MBAs, and those MBAs donate money to Harvard when they hit it big. Obviously Harvard is going to do its level best to make sure its graduates have the whip hand in industry.
