An adjacent thread has some confusion about whether chained assignments happen left to right or right to left. Honestly that’s a factoid I don’t expect most Python programmers to know. It’s usually a bad idea to rely on people knowing arcad

Chained assignments are banned according to the style guide at my workplace. Too many opportunities for misuse. And if you insist on a one-liner assignment to two variables just use two statements separated by the semicolon. I challenge any

That’s only on very old CPUs. Getting benefits from vector extensions is incredibly easy if you do any kind of data crunching. A lot of integer operations not covered by BLAS can benefit including modern hash tables.

Haskell has had hlint for a very long time. Things like rewriting chained calls of `concat` and `map` into `concatMap`, or just rewriting your boolean expressions like `if a then b else False`.

It’s not naïve. It’s called having a reasonable threat model. I worry a lot more about random people on the Internet than random people who can get physically close to me. And if you do get physically close, you will find thousands of Bluet

Because these BLE devices are so cheap that they don’t have storage. And BLE transmission is already very power efficient: the power consumption of BLE is probably the same order of magnitude as powering flash storage.
