Working with purchased assets is not so simple; there is no consistent art direction when you buy things from different sources. This usually requires an artists to do a pass and make all these disparate assets work together. Simply saying

In most C++ game engines the standard library is almost never used, for performance reasons. See: https://github.com/electronicarts/EASTL

> No way I can get that kind of money, so I gave up on that idea. I'm curious if the Tympan solution has done this testing? What is the perceived downside to not doing human testing on what is presumably going to be a hobby project?

That would make sense, because for a game to be popular it would have to have a consistent viewership; something you wouldn't have with a single playthrough story based game. I think that story based games are very popular in the short

It's not really up to you to decide if a puzzle is mundane for all players. Maybe it was for you, but there was a real aha moment for me on some of those puzzles.

I think you might be misunderstanding the scope of an "input". It's something like "the player pressed the key/button that maps to move forward", not "move to position X". Teleport hacks wouldn't

Why do companies insist on disabling the youtube controls when embedding. I want to turn the volume down but I have to copy the URL and watch on youtube instead.

There wouldn't really be a big advantage to that I think. The whole point of Vulkan is to give more control to the application developer (submit work from multiple threads, etc).

How is it sad? Everyone is learning how to build a better game engine. Are you suggesting that the same pull requests should have been made against an open source game engine? No open source game engine comes close to UE4 in feature set.
