No one at almost any income level buys small cheap $20k - $30k cars. They take out a loan to buy an F150, RAM, or midsized crossover. Or buy used. *In the US

Apple marketing made it sound like they were doing something special with RAM on their M socs. Really they mainly improved packaging form factor with run of the mill LPDDR5. It's questionable if this really does much for performance as

In my experience at least with somewhat newer low end smart tvs, Roku is far and away a better experience than Android or Fire TV. Even higher end TVs with Android TV are a laggy mess. If you're looking for a cheap bedroom TV I would o

The last drawn out proxy war with the West didn't end very well for the Soviets. The Ukraine war is already many times more costly. Remember too, those tactics during WW2 were on the backdrop of a brutal fight for survival where it was

Nothing wrong with modelling your real world business objects with OOP. Thats essentially what Domain Driven Design( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain-driven_design ) is. It's difficult to pull off sometimes but

What is it with this weird cost obsession? The US shot down the airborne object down with it's Air Superiority fighter using it's most run of the mill A2A missile. You think it would be more cost effective to retrofit a decades ol

Not really anymore. Most cars don’t have a discrete radio head unit anymore. The radio is way too integrated with vehicle controls.

There's many people that still have the perception that Tesla is a small fish waiting to get gobbled up by legacy automakers. But every year that becomes further from the truth. A company with $80 billion revenue and 100,000+ employees

Unless you're one of the very few known as top in a field, mastery of a specific technology adds very little value and is always in danger of becoming more legacy than relevant. That's in comparison to someone with enough knowledg

Yea that is my thought as well. With how easy it is these days to spin up managed Postgres or compatible DB services it really seems unnecessary to not just start with that.

Yea I'm guessing there's not a ton of fresh WPF or forms desktop apps being created. We've mostly moved to ASP.Net backends with React frontends wherever possible.

I don't think anyone considers the expenditure of 1 AIM-9, probably the most ubiquitous A2A missile platform in history, a drain of resources.
