A base model Prius has a pretty econobox interior and finish on a modern Model 3 is fine. People buy cars based on features.

A base Prius is not nearly as well equipped as any Model 3. That's if you could even get a dealer to sell you a barebone base model at MSRP. It's really not worth comparing unless you at least option up the Prius.

The indoor unit gets directly connected to the outdoor unit for refrigerant, power, and communication. It's likely then that your outdoor unit only had 2 hookups.

The big factor is before Zen it was dual-core low-end, quad-core high-end for Intel consumer chips on both the desktop and laptop. Advancement in core count and multi-threaded performance clearly was a direct result of Zen.

It's not priced well at all. Well equipped model at $40K-$45K should be the target if they actually want to build an EV that sells in volume. I'm increasingly convinced that they don't want to sell EVs in volume.

Why? I understand the framework setup may not be as polished as CUDA, but I was under the impression HIP is the primary kernel language supported by ROCm and at first glance it's basically a 1:1 CUDA clone.
