A better solution which only uses local connections between adjacent cells is Odd-Even Transposition Sort. When the cells are arranged in a 2D grid, Shearsort sorts all the values in snake-like order in O(sqrt(n) log(n)). A slightly more co

A major problem with sd-event as an epoll replacement lies in how it handles multi-threading: It doesn't. The most error-prone part of using epoll in a multi-threaded environment is free-ing of the per-descriptor state. You never quite

Alternatively, if the implementation supports uintptr_t, you can convert to that and then compare the respective integral values.

That's for A* on a complete visibility graph, which is much faster than on a uniform grid. I only added the link so that the reduced terminology is clear to everyone.

So basically the idea with RSA is that all computations are done modulo N, where N is the product of two secret primes p and q. What was done here is manipulating the high bits of N (yielding N'), and finding new prime q' slightly

So, browsing through these projects I see a lot of crawlers. Where is the search tech? Other than that one project which seems to be a JS-frontend for Lucene/Solr, I can't find anything having to do with Information Retrieval. Unl

Both examples seem rather obvious to me. The first one adds the carries onto the bitwise sum, similar to a carry ripple adder. The second subtracts the carries from the result to retrieve the bitwise sum (XOR).

That is technically undefined behavior, because the result of the double subtraction could very well be a number that is not representable within the range of a signed int.
