Yup. The effect of 15% of the city’s population being students works it’s way to all corners of the real estate market here. I currently live in an apartment building that contains 0% students and is pretty squarely out of reach of most stu

From what I’ve seen and heard the answer with lead is an unequivocal no - once lead exposure has occurred, the damage is done. It’s compounding and irreversible.

One thing that stood out to me is how much of what he talked about is still true and still playing out decades later. The fundamentals of technology businesses and the dynamics that occur really don’t change all that often.

There’s nothing admirable about lowest common denominator tactics like this, and it isn’t that out of the box. You just have to be desperate enough and sleazy enough to want to do it. Are these videos an existential threat? No. Are they a n

I think the mistake is assuming that time that passes means people are ok with a certain amount of sharing, that it’s a safe investment, whether in cash or in investment in building on their platform or with their data. The reality is that

JCrew is relentless with this lately. They ask you if you’d like an “email receipt”, which is code for re-subscribing you to their daily barrage of emails. Then they hand you a paper receipt as you walk out.

What seems to be playing out on college campuses is in stark contrast to what is playing out inside many employers. Our leadership is getting its feet held to the fire to find more qualified female candidates for exec roles, which are domin

I haven't read this about Starbucks in particular, but that is a pretty common trade-off for large retail businesses to make. They accept the fact that a certain percentage of stores will operate at a loss, but keep them in existence f
