If we manage to make that jet fuel from anything else but fossil energy that should do. The only issue is that the CO2 emission up there has so much more impact, but I think we should be able to manage if we have the rest under control.

The test offer can be pretty useful: https://www.bahn.de/p/view/bahncard/ueberblick/probebahncard... (It's important to cancel immediately though.)

Do you have a BahnCard? How much in advance did you book? Currently you can go to most places with 30-50€ if you play it right.

Just like with flights, you have to book early enough and check different times, and then additionally get the discount cards, and then you're looking at comparable prices quite often.

In the case of Europe that would actually lower biodiversity. The land has been cultivated for so long, and mostly with low intensity, that nature has adapted pretty well. There are many plants and animals living in the hedges, stone walls&

Folding bikes are becoming more and more popular lately. You can take them without a ticket or restriction, which is nice.

The connections actually go to the top of mountains as well, you can buy a ticket from Munich to the top of Zugspitze for example.

I don't think this era is going to last much longer. Something has to give if we want to make any headway on climate goals, and increasing air travel prices is one of the more obvious steps. Right now train travel is cheap if you plan

There is still a surprising amount of plastic bags left even if you eliminate the ones for carrying. The bag toilet paper comes in, for example, works pretty well.

Here we use the big hiking backpacks for a big purchase. How would you even carry those amounts in plastic bags? You plan these trips, so you bring enough bags with you.

The problem is that many of the rules absolutely do not make sense for cyclists. It seems to me that for rule-following of motorists there is a correlation with rule quality as well (compare different countries). This is not an excuse but a

In Europe, some of the nightjet lines take cars as well. I think this is a great solution. If the travelling takes too long, just do it overnight. So travel times from 9pm to 9am are actually quite convenient. https://en.wikipedi

If you then proceed to wall all the surroundings as well and basically build a feudal fiefdom I'd say it's time for a revolution. When you become big enough to be the system you lose the priviledges of being part of the system

We are already seeing the Chinese air pollution go down in the data. It's still insanely high, but the peak was reached ~2015 (I think) and decreasing very slowly. They actually reached a regime where more reduction can increase the po
