   Am I the only person on the planet who doesn't want a Linux-style package manager? Why can't apps be self-contained downloadable things with all their dependencies contained within, like back in the Apple Macintosh days?

   readelf specifically doesn't use BFD - one of it's majors reasons for existence is to validate libbfd.

   I'm disappointed to see that like many build systems, they're inventing their own backend instead of just using Ninja ( http://martine.github.io/ninja/ )
