That is quite clever, I didn't know that you could do that. I don't know much of our integration of FontAwesome, I do mostly backend related stuff, and argue icons with the frontend guys :)

That is awesome! We was missing a ticket-icon today at work, and discussed what to use instead, with this new release we don't have to do anything :)

I don't know how they do it. I have seen some pretty freaky games on their webpage, and I have seen a lot of games uploaded from game-programming events that I have hosted.

I use Tower ( http://www.git-tower.com/ ) and love is so much that I have bought my own license. But I hit usability issues from time to time. I will give SourceTree a try, it looks interesting.

Sorry for a potential stupid question: Is there an upgrade guide somewhere? I noticed that mperham mentioned on Twitter that he had 250+ bugs his test-suite after upgrading, and I am sure he and his team have better and more elaborate tests

Bareku looks very interesting, but what are the benefits over something like a simple Capistrano deploy script? I have never heard about Ganeti but it also sounds promising.

How do you ensure which versions of the packages that you receive? It is nice to rely on system-packages, but if you depend on certain versions of certain packages you might see problems with that approach.

37signals is using rbenv in production, and I know of several other big companies that does as well, and I am feeling quite comfortable using it.

I don't understand your issues with Ruby on Ubuntu, setting it up with RBenv is fairly simple, you can see my build script here: https://gist.github.com/kaspergrubbe/5383877 About 1.9.3 and 1.9.1 are you sure that it isn't about this issu

It is lagging a lot on a Retina macbook with i7 and 16 gigs of RAM. I suspect the problem might be with the Retina Macbooks. I know that the animations is fancy, but are they really necessary?

Have your setup for your dev environment under version control. I do this with Linode stackscripts, and I couldn't live without it. Unfortunately DigitalOcean don't support stackscripts as of yet. And their support didn't want to tell me if

The asset path and sprocket performance hit doesn't seem to affect most Rails apps, they precompile their assets, so that shouldn't be a problem.
