Got a small b+w brother printer for a couple 100 last year and it’s been great. Wired in with lan, everything can print to it. Solid “just works” experience.

This also affected Sony tvs, I was super annoyed by it - I dns blocked their ad servers with pihole and now I get ads for YouTube, play store, and google music. Clearly the baked in placeholder ones. It’s not ideal but I can tolerate it mor

Games and music seem to have managed to defeat piracy. And when it was just Netflix before the fragmentation and greed of the movie/tv content holders no one I knew downloaded.

Which one is it? Or both? Is one still woke if you are only one of the two?

your going to have to clarify, there is no consensus to be found in your link: * The act of being very pretentious about how much you care about a social issue * Deluded or fake awareness. * When you look at the simplest thing and call it r

Go on Amazon and search for 4g gps tracker. Cheap, small, easy, cellular connected gps units with no way for anyone to detect them, unlike an AirTag.

by katbyte 5y ago
The bar is already really low. GPS trackers are just as cheap, more “real time”, and have no way for anyone to detect them unlike AirTags.

they are also locking their newer 12bay and rack units to only work with their own overpriced (re)branded Toshiba drives. before this they were great units that were very easy to setup and manage provided you were not concerned about cost.

not everyone can get a job. not everyone lives where there are jobs. not everyone can move to where there is job. not everyone is capable of holding down a job. so I guess they don't need healthcare and we should just let them die?

yes, however I was responding to a comment which treated it as a universal thing for everyone with phrases like "It's something our soul needs" and pointing out that not everyone feels the same way they do.

by katbyte 5y ago
Pretty sure this comment is as hyperbolic as the one your replying to. Not everyone has the same feelings toward music you do, some are quite indifferent because we are all quite different. Case in point people who are asexual.
