Canada. We do not have a superfund (and 70%? It should capture 100%!)

and the government that already subsidizes oil, is not subsidizing the cleanup by paying for it

~4 months out of the total 31 its been out? that sounds recent to me

> How is that a government failure because the people with money there will call it that when they finally loose money, no matter how many warnings are issued.

That’s about what happens in Canada, Vancouver gets the homeless fromt he entire country, sometimes bussed, but mostly because the climate is hospitable all year round
487.
by katbyte 3y ago
That’s a pretty recent development as of this year

that sounds like a terribly inefficient way to get fluoride on teeth compared to toothpaste

by katbyte 3y ago
fair, i moved away from a seedbox because it took so long to sync back home

whats is the best way to get access to the better sites? i've been on IPT for years with great ratio but no idea where to even begin to look for getting into top tier ones
491.
by katbyte 3y ago
it can take a long time to sync files home if they are large enough/your connection is slow
492.
by katbyte 3y ago
last they had open signups checked it out and i didn't find it to be anything special or give me a reason to move away from IPT (which is from what i understand mid tier?) so of course i didn't use it enough and was banned for ina

the water here is thankfully unfluorinated. i also brush with a toothpaste containing fluoride and have a healthy diet.

by katbyte 3y ago
there are a few subreddits that people offer invites/ask for them otherwise many have open signups randomly throughout the year the better ones are harder and often expect proof of previous seeding, like i've been in IPT for years

I have sensitive teeth, when I drink water or any liquid really, it doesn’t touch my teeth. I’m more confused by how you would coat your teeth while drinking, do you swish it around in your mouth every sip?

by katbyte 3y ago
It’s a guess. Maybe an educated guess, but it’s still a guess.

Heck even here in Vancouver we’ve done a bunch of cut and cover under roads - it’s disruptive but it works without tunnel boring

no, no they shouldn't have. At least not without tesla taking full accountability and liability for every accident on autopilot. other manufacturers are slowly rolling out more self driving like tech, AND taking on liability.

Why do building inspection drones need a social cage?

by katbyte 3y ago
Yea.. “excuse me I lost my AirPods and my phone is telling me you have them, any chance you grabbed/picked them up” and of course given they are linked to an Apple ID there’s no disputing ownership

The people you watch also make more money per premium view from what I understand
503.
by katbyte 3y ago
I don’t just subscribe to remove ads (yt premium is my only subscription) It also pays the content creators I watch more money. So imho it’s a win win. No ads for me more money for the peoples content I enjoy

and most people i know in my apple bubble just don't really care and a number of them have lightning devices/docks and are not looking forward having to find/pay for replacements. not gonna argue it isn't silly, it is, j

Is time capsule any different the Time Machine backups to networked eogtage?

by katbyte 3y ago
I assumed they took their sweet time and waited for a Goverment to force them so that large customer base will be angry at the eu for having to buy new cables and throw out their old lightning socks and devices instead of apple
508.
by katbyte 3y ago
When apple switched to lightning way back there was a huge outrage over “forced obsolescence” and “cash grab” making people buy new cables and other devices, as there was a huge number of docks and other devices in the wild since the switch

by katbyte 3y ago
The tap switch is pretty great, can be placed anywhere, four action buttons, and doesn’t need batteries. For the most part I use motion sensors and timers and rarely need a switch
