> rather AMD use the die space for a faster CPU They don't have to use die space for it. CPU cores are in a separate die already. They can easily slap a Vega 3 IC (which they already have the designs for) alongside the 12nm I/

Heavy swapping is the worst case scenario for an SSD (highest write amplification) but I doubt it'd die in a week.

No sustained write results? This is likely using a large dynamic cache.

2.5 drives have less platters which are also smaller. I hope everything goes well and we'll see 100TB drives.

> HAMR requires new heads and immediate transition to glass platters with all-new new coating Shoot, this won't go well. Last time glass platters were used was in IBM Deathstars.

That's not the point. iGPU takes most of the die space. Parents point is it'd be a better end product for enthusiasts had they opt to not put it there in the first place.

> whenever Samsung releases a new phone only some regions get the Exynos chips, because historically they couldn't produce enough of them That's not true. The reason for that has always been Quallcomm's patent shakedown.

Well said. A lot of people I see on hardware forums seem to have the deception that we'd suddenly have 10 GHz cores had big.LITTLE x86 processors appear. Reality is we'd have few of exact same cores we have today and a dozen more

Even better just use TSV. Tabs are better separator for real world data, you can strip tabs unless you need to store verbatim string data.

I've never seen Nocturne but on Windows 10 inverted colors+night shift works well (IIRC has an option for grayscale, too). On Linux you can achieve the same effect with xca+redshift (not sure about grayscale).

What I read around is that's not the enterprise ECC, it's more akin to ECC bits used in flash memory. It'll allow manufacturers to play fast and loose with memory.
