So if I have no preference of my own, you'd suggest Angular over React? I want to get the product out soon and focus on generating business value rather than the framework itself.

You missed my point, which isn't that skyscrapers shouldn't exist but that they're not viable everywhere, and so saying "skyscrapers are a better use of real estate than landscrapers" is too simplistic. It's li

Skyscrapers are viable in only a few areas. Cost increases as you build up. Landscrapers make sense where real-estate prices aren't so high. I'm not commenting about London in particular. Maybe a landscraper in London doesn't

Seems like an end-to-end solution: - Pair debugging - Git integration - beta deployment - run your code on real iOS or Android devices in the cloud - build in the cloud - patch live applications - crash and analytics data - live updates of

This is a great idea, and much less intrusive than antivirus software, app stores, or security prompts. Please make it faster from Bangalore, and I'll switch. Google DNS takes 18ms, and yours, 47.

Good point. The term doesn't sound good. I'd rather call myself a Rubyist or a Pythonista. What we call something matters. Presentation matters. Some geeks think they're hyper-rational, but do you turn up to a job interview i

Can you share business logic between serverless functions? Like classes, functions and immutable data. If not, it's a severe limitation.

That's the problem with enhancing existing tools — you have to choose between satisfying existing customers in the short term. The best vehicle for my ideas may be a new tool built from scratch. Sure, reuse code fragments or libraries,

Preemptively reducing your expectations is a great way to ensure that we won't take big leaps forward. You can choose to be sarcastic, while I'll keep my positive, hopeful attitude.

Linus needn't have on his disc every random person's WIP. The software can be smart enough to only sync code he's tried to read, edit or compile. Or Linux can choose. An analogy is Google Drive letting you choose which folder

Interesting, and sad that Git won. I used Mercurial earlier, given that it seemed to have a better user experience, but Xcode's integration with Git made me switch. Thanks for your offer.

No more a target for hackers than upstream log servers. In fact, it will be easier to audit, since it's open-source and does less (only aggregate and anonymise data and pass it on). Yes, it will be niche to begin with, but everything s

I wonder if there's an opportunity to reduce the privacy problem by having the phones log data to an intermediate server. The intermediate server will be open-source and run by a trusted entity (EFF, Apache Foundation, whoever). OnePlu
