I think college and high school should be better optimized for each other. In high school, it's perfectly fine if you don't have a specialization. You don't even really have to decide your major until the 2nd year of college.

twitter is a close second for me. The bug that requires you to reload three times, inconsistent pop-ups demanding you to login, and slow interface. old.reddit.com is still ok, but yeah the redesign is terrible. You would think metrics would

Yes. I think people need to understand that anything on the internet is by default, there forever. Post something privately or behind a password if you don't want everyone seeing it.

A futuristic city would have public transport and bikes. 5,000 pounds of metal for transporting one person is horribly inefficient.

> Don't reward this nonsense. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean others can't. It's design, and design is subjective. People bemoan that Jackson Pollocks go for $20 Million, why are these stupid people

The fed needs to raise rates soon. And now Congress wants to spend 3.5 trillion dollars, at a time when the unemployment rate is a relatively healthy 5.4%. The feds goal of full employment this soon is a fantasy, and unrealistic given curre

Source? At least in the US, cars make up a decent share of our carbon emissions, around 16%. Other greenhouse gases like NOx or Fluorinated gases are mostly produced by industry though. https://www.epa.gov/greenvehicles/

it's absolutely a problem for us. But saying climate change is a natural cycle isn't wrong. We have sped up the process of climate change, so much that it is a problem for us. Aging is a natural process. Now imagine there was a vi

I think this is the main takeaway. If we lived on earth 50 million years ago when there were no ice caps, we would still thrive. But we would be living vey differently, in different areas, and dependent on different ecosystems. Such sudden

You're absolutely right. Our current climate change is mandmade, and we need to do something about it. But saying climate change in general is only manmade is wrong, which is what I thought the commenter was saying.

50 million years ago, there were forests in the arctic and the earth was much hotter than it is right now. Climate change comes in both man-made and natural varieties, and it's important to acknowledge the difference. https:/

If they don't run an app store, they aren't a covered company, and therefore not required to allow a third party app store. At least that's what I gleaned from my reading of the bill. I don't think they would be able to

I honestly think Apple might go nuclear here if this gets a serious shot at passing. I could see them removing the app store outright and instructing people to complain to their representatives, like lyft & uber did for prop 22. In fact

I'd say more akin to Henry Ford. Probably not as influential for manufacturing, but like ford, built a ton of cars, also in aerospace (ford trimotor was the one of the first successful US ariliner), and against unions.
