FAANG typically has 3-6 30-50 minute back to back interviews, the style of interview where they ask open ended questions is almost always included too...the leet code stuff is in addition to that. I can agree it's not ideal but these b

Looks pretty useless to anyone who did the Go tour and read Effective Go at least. These are just language design choices, not dark corners. It's not shooting yourself in the foot it's just doing things the Go way and there's

Hey, would you mind telling how's owning VT60 in 2021? Would you buy one as a real OLED alternative? I see it has some smart features like "apps" and that is kinda a red flag to me, sooooo... "how is it?" Thanks!

I personally can vouch for old Panasonics, anything else is probably not worth the hassle. Just make sure it's FHD screen, has HDMI ports and it's a Panasonic - you can't go wrong. 11gen probably refers to G11, which you want

It is but much of that is overblown because of really old plasma screens - early 2000s and such. Some manufacturers dealt with it better than others. If you're buying an old plasma without burn-in after ~10 years of use with minimal at

I've been hunting and buying old (~2008-2012) Panasonic plasma TV's off my local craigslist alternative. They were the best in business as far as plasma screens go and the build quality is insane. Colour reproduction is very natur

They won't stop it from working ever, they will stop the updates but given Apple has about 7 year trail and still sells Intel Macs today that might even go into 2030.

I think it's same reason why Designing Data Intensive Applications is in the top most popular books on safaribooks for quite some time now. Many people are grinding for job interviews and many companies now copy FAANG and have a "

Am I crazy for wanting a license that prohibits the free use of a project by mega-corps? "If you're a company valued > $XXX usage of this code is prohibited". I guess I can see OSS as a "free food" stall. Almost

Squash renders git log and bisect nearly unusable, that should be common knowledge, but I guess not. Normally there's never a reason to squash, small fixes can be done with git commit --amend for last commit or git rebase -i using the

LG makes great TVs, they were one of the last manufacturers to stop doing plasma. My 2015 50" (50PN5300) 1080p plasma screen is only rivaled by new OLEDs, doubles as a space heater in winter time :) This one still has their old Netcast

This rings true. There's a YouTube channel where a man with a campervan goes out camping in the nature and cooks food, sips whiskey and looks into the horizon. So simple yet so attractive and there's many comments of older people

Diesel-Electric locomotives do it that way because there's no clutch mechanism that would sustain the load being put on it, they have to use the magnetism for load coupling.

You could simply film under water with a galaxy S8 and it had a headphone jack without any rubber caps. It's baffling to see the water resistance argument used against 3.5mm jack.

You could whip up a quick script to move driver kexts for mic and camera in and out of extensions folder essentially toggling the functionality. This would require a reboot though.
