Yep, that's kind of the main problem :) Hence the need for some manual curation. (e.g. ClearURLs seems to do it here https://github.com/ClearURLs/Rules/blob/master/data.json ) For 80% of sites just t

I have an idea for a project (I call it 'cannon' for now)[0] which would 'canonicalize' URLs and extract semantic information from it, ideally just by looking at the URL, without doing any extra requests. For example, a

I'm not a devops/sysadmin, but for a personal setup have had a great experience with pyinfra! It's such a relief doing it in a real programming language instead of figuring out how to write a for loop or contatenate strings i

Also I think the analogy doesn't quite work because a truck is a truck. You can do some customization, you might (or not be) able to change some parts, or being a mechanical engineer you might even be able to repair it or enhance. But

Yeah, the only downside of tmate is that you need to add/uncomment the line with it, push, then remove the commit again. It's much nicer in circleci, for example where you can simply rerun wish SSH in a button click. Even better w

IMO as long as there is a healthy CI pipeline which people can check to see how to build/test things, ultimately it doesn't matter much.

Literally any real language would be better. Even if I have to learn a bit of it to write pipelines, at least I'll end up with some transferable knowledge as a result. In comparison, if I learned Github Actions syntax, the only thing

Sure, this sound reasonable. But you needed scientists to figure out at some point that it's optimal for most people to eat some things, and not other. E.g. you can stay lean eating only fruit, but you'll lack some micronutrients.
