My version of this: Human Programming Interface https://github.com/karlicoss/HPI It's a bit heavier on the automatic data aggregation side, but has some manual inputs as data sources too. I'm hoping to make i

hey, author of Promnesia here! It's not doing fulltext history search (at the moment, anyway), it only cares about URLs and the context around them.

I'm a strong believer in Zulip with respect to a perfect mix between instant messaging and actually retaining information - functionality for a public export (can also restrict to specific channels), .e.g. https://leanprover

This is my approach! I'm using HPI [0] as a sort of universal API for almost all of my data (manual notes, bookmarks, instant messages, internet comments, etc) Then I use it in tools like Orger [1] and Promnesia [2,3] which function as

thanks! re: extensibility -- mc does have scripting [1] (although not sure if you meant something else) re: image viewer -- hmm how would that work considering mc is running in terminal? I guess it could interact with some sort of modal win

Related idea: Wildcard [0] It would be cool to have a shared community repository of site adapters, in the spirit of adversarial interoperability [1]. It's probably the most tedious and boring part of such projects, once it's abst

Cool question, never thought about it! I'm not a physicist, but hopefully will be able to point at the right direction. Guess the short and boring answer is that we don't really know if GR applies at the scales of electrons (or to

I've implemented Promnesia [0] as a sort of remembrance agent that lives in my browser and shows me related pages/extended browsing history from my digital trace and personal knowledge base. Also discussed here a while ago [1] [0]

I am kind of doing that, spending my most free time reading, studying, working on personal projects, etc. And 24 hours per day is still not nearly enough for all what I want to do and learn and achieve :(

Ah agree, your example makes sense! I guess it ultimately depends on the usecase, I just gave the above as an easy to understand example. In my case I wanted something that merely merged multiple distinct directories as a unified view (just

Cool tool, but recommend reading the policies [0] section carefully, it did catch me off guard the first time I tried using it. E.g. say you have /a/foo.txt and /b/foo.txt, and you run mergerfs /a:/b /merg

Mine is 7GB and the tool has no issues, don't see a reason it wouldn't scale. On my SSD ripgrep takes about 5 seconds in cold start to search over all of it, then less than a second after that (presumably because drive caches have
