Technically, all adult Catholics can become Pope. But realistically it's just one of the cardinals, which means you need to become a bishop first, which means you need to become a priest first, which means you need to be celibate (x).

Can't the archive publish the SSL signatures of all the requests or something? You can cryptographically verify a timestamp though by piggybacking on bitcoin like opentimestamps do.

I don't speak latin, but people that do say, that Vatican's X posts in Latin are in a really bad Latin. https://x.com/Pontifex_ln

One time I tried to understand the QR algorithm and I didn't understand it at all despite trying multiple times. Maybe I can try again with the help of LLMs. Hmm not a bad idea

The app seems to be entirely vibe-coded. ("multi-agent AI development workflows are what make a one-person project at this scale practical") However the author says he will "move from the branding".

Can I... somehow run this locally? DeepSeek is opensource? Do I even need their API key? (I have no experience with running anything locally, maybe it's a stupid question)

I have used NameDrop about 4-5 times (in 10-ish years of using iPhone). It's not nothing! But it's also not that much.

If you didn't pay recently, they deleted most of your photos anyway. They deleted all but the newest 100 or so for the free accounts

It's best to avoid App Store and look for apps on Google (with ad blocker).

I don't enjoy them writing code. The code is always so messy and needs so many changes. I enjoy throwing Codex code I don't understand and asking "where is X done" or "what does this line do". It's not alw

This is not really covering anything new - BarelySocial did the same thing in 2020 - and is circumstantial at best, but from all the candidates, Adam Back is by far the most likely. On the other hand, who cares.

sourceforge was always very scummy, I think they would definitely use the code for that if they could

OnlyOffice is not really open source. They say they are but they also add impossible conditions to their license. (you are forced to use their logo, but you are also not allowed to use their logo.)

It was not really proprietary though? I don't like Collabora Office at all as a product (sorry, and I have tried) and the branding situation is super messy (sorry but it's true) but all the code is online.

from my reading, onlyoffice misread AGPL and the restrictions are not what section 7 meant; however that just means it's not really an AGPL licensed code as they are using AGPL wrong, not that NextCloud can just ignore it and treat it

They were not ads though. The companies did not pay for those, from what I can tell. Microsoft seemed to really thought they were being helpful here.
